All in One

It’s a myth, or at least it feels like a myth. I’ve been feverishly searching for a software solution (cloud-based) to house most of the operations and customer management we do here at Zylie. So far, I haven’t found anything that suits our needs. Right now, I toggle between two CRM apps (Podio and Highrise, which I’m taking for a test drive right now), our back-end dashboard to manage our website customers, a couple spreadsheets to analyze the state of our online orders, Sparrow for email, Google Calendar, Google Docs and Basecamp for project collaboration, Quickbooks for (not-so-great) accounting and, if you’re feeling productive, business analysis, a software application called ReadyShipper for order fulfillment, and Dropbox for our increasingly large folder of invoices for retailers and contracts, agreements and all other files. It’s too much, too many fragments, I need a one-stop-shop. I’ve been playing around with Salesforce.com hoping it has the answer, if not I can’t really find an alternative. I’m just tired of switching between so many different solutions, it’s hard to even keep track of how much we’re paying for what, which are free trials, etc etc. Was hoping that Google, Quora, Hacker News or Stack Overflow would have better answers, but there just isn’t a whole lot of discussion around behind-the-scenes solutions to keep companies running.
